This morning, feeling a little masochistic, I stood once more atop the bathroom scale. And was pleasantly surprised.
Despite a brief plateau, I've dropped down to 180. Pretty unfabulous, but worlds better than 204(gag). I'm pretty stoked- I'm steadily losing weight, and hopefully I'll soon be at 170, which will mean I'll have lost all the weight I gained having December. Yay! Of course, then I have another 15 or so to go to lose the weight I gained having Darius, which I was silly enough to hang on to. However, I am determined to see it go. I have a particular pair of really hott jeans that I am desperate to fit back into.
As far as the kids, they're doing well, despite themselves. Darius had a 5olb 5-year-old fall on him yesterday, which caused some minor drama- he cried for quite a while, but calmed down once Ben was there to snuggle him. Go figure. Also, December refuses to let out a really good laugh, emitting only laugh-like cackles. Even those require an awful lot of effort to get out of her. She absolutely will not sleep flat on her back- even if she's completely zonked, she'll at least roll onto her side, if not her tummy. It's annoying. However, it is cool that if she's tired and cranky, I can give her a binky and lay her tummy-down on the couch and she will fall asleep almost instantly. It's pretty sweet.
I spent the weekend scrapbooking on my MIL's couch, and have 3 2-page spreads to show for it. They look pretty darn good, too. I'm quite pleased with my artistic abilities. :)
I'm actually in class now, maybe I should be doing something more productive...
YAY for losing more weight! I am proud of you and a little jealous. Corbin does the cackle thing too. It's so cute though. Maybe they just have to be a little older.
