stream of consciousness?

Darius went to my parents' yesterday, seeing as it's the weekend of Valentine's.  I've missed him something dreadful, even though he's a turdy toddler.  It's been so quiet and strange with him gone.

Earlier I called my mom to ask her something and she put Darius on the phone. Wonder of wonders, he actually talked to me! And like, responded! He's been not wanting to talk on the phone if there's an actual person on the other line, but he heard me and said "Mama!" and babbled at me for a couple minutes.  It was SO STINKING CUTE, I could just die.

December has been more of an attention hog than usual with Darius gone. She hasn't gone an older brother to distract her from climbing all over Ben and I.  She's been walking along the couch, and she can stand unassisted for a second or two until she loses her balance, but only if she has someone there and she feels safe.  She's growing so fast and is in such a hurry to be a big girl, and it's nuts. She's just barely 8 months old.

So, since going out during the week doesn't work with Ben's work schedule, we went out for dinner tonight.  We went to "A Taste Of India" and it was really good.  I had a mango lassi and I absolutely loved it.  Lamb coconut korma, too, which was likewise delicious.  We haven't had Indian food in ages, and it was really nice.  Also, it was nice to go out in public without a kid.

I'm taking a math class, and it's really hard.  My BIL looked at it and even he needed a minute to figure out what on earth the question really was. WSU FAIL!  Remedial math shouldn't involve beating my brains out over equations involving chemistry!  I'm studying to be an ENGLISH TEACHER! Duhur!

Guh.
